The cost of an RICS Home Survey is variable, with Level 2 at the lower end and starting at from £400, and a Level 3 at the higher end, with some bespoke services from £600.

We base our fee quotation on how much time is necessary to provide the level of service required, and to cover associated business costs such as travel time and overheads. A thorough, accurate and impartial survey undertaken by a regulated professional is a quality service that is worth paying for. Remember the survey report you are buying is unique to your property at a point in time, and therefore it may differ in cost to another survey report about a different property. In calculating our fee for a valuation reports, a similar principal to above is applied.
Basic market valuation reports start at £275. This would cover valuations such as Help to buy and Shared Ownership.
More complex valuation reports, commonly referred to as Red Book Valuation are more detailed, and therefore more costly starting at £400. These are normally needed for reports such as Matrimonial or Probate.
